Weekend Retreat with Zen Master Dae Kwang, July 15–17, 2022
“What is Your Question?”

This short retreat with ZM Dae Kwang and Knud Rosenmayr JDPSN offers you an opportunity to deepen your personal practice together in the community: Is this about searching? Is it about finding?

Teacher: 
– Zen Master Dae Kwang
Zen Master Dae Kwang has been a Zen monk since 1987 and a Zen Master since 1996. He was a guiding teacher at Providence Zen Center and now is teaching worldwide; he is particularly interested in meditation practices that are common in both the Christian and Buddhist worlds. Zen Master Dae Kwang taught at Vienna Zen Center in 2018. 

Location: 
The retreat will take place, including all communal meals, in the premises of the Vienna Zen Center: We practice, cook and eat together.

Accommodation:
Participants from Vienna/the surrounding area will spend the night at home. Members and guests from out of town may be able to sleep at the Zen Center (please bring a sleeping bag and mat) or may be accommodated by Sangha friends. We will be happy to help you find a nearby hotel or guesthouse. – Please contact us as soon as possible!

Schedule:
Friday, 07/15: 6:30 pm–8:30 pm: Dharma talk with Zen Master Dae Kwang, Q&A, discussion.
Saturday, 07/16: 6:30/10 am –8:30 pm: Zen meditation, walking meditation, chanting; 3 meals and work time.
Sunday, 07/17: 06:30/10:00 am to approx. 1:30 pm: Zen meditation, walking meditation, chanting; 2 meals and work periods, concluding sharing.

Cost:
With registration, we ask you for a deposit of €20.-*.

Participants/Guests: €120,-; Members: €83,-;
Participants reduced: €110,-; Members reduced: €75.-;
Dharma Teachers (in training): €70,-.
