Reiher/Wien Freudenau @ Zintzen 2020

In summer, the Zen Center Vienna continues its online practice on the following days: Monday (6:30 p.m.), Thursday (6:00 p.m.) and Sunday (9:00 a.m.).

What is new is that we are gradually reopening the Zen Center for personal practice: From August, the Monday dates will take place in a hybrid form, i.e. via zoom and for some practitioners present.

However, as the number of people present in person must remain limited due to legal regulations, we ask you to register in person 14 days in advance at the e-mail address ta.ne1639044325zmuna1639044325wk@of1639044325ni1639044325 or via the contact form.

The Zen day on July 3rd and our retreat at the beginning of September in Scheibbs offer additional opportunities to deepen your practice.

MAHA SANGHA-Samstage im Dezember 2020 , Zen Zentrum Wien

The month of December is the month of love and compassion. It is a really special time for us to come together — especially now when the Corona Virus is affecting everyone’s health and lockdowns are making it impossible to come together face to face as it is traditionally done.

The teachers of the Kwan Um School of Zen Europe invite all practitioners, not only in the European Sangha but also from around the world, to join a special online Zoom Zen Practice on the following Saturday mornings:

  • Dec. 5th: Opening speech: ZM Bon Shim, Dharma talk: ZM Hyon Ja
  • Dec. 12th: Dharma talk: ZM Ji Kwang
  • Dec. 19th: Dharma talk: ZM Gu Ja, Closing speech: ZM Bon Shim

Our schedule for each of these Saturday mornings (CET time):
 8:00: Start
 8:05: 108 Bows
8:30: Dedicated chanting Kwan Seum Bosal
8:55: 2 x 30 minutes Zen meditation (with 5 minutes break in between)
10:00: Dharma talk
10:20: Open space for questions and answers.
11:00: Four Great Vows and End.
