Knud Rosenmayr JDPSN

Knud Rosenmayr was born in Vienna in 1974. At the age of 20, he traveled extensively in Asia and made his first experience with Zen meditation in Korea. In 1995, he met Zen Master Seung Sahn and began to deepen his meditation practice in the Kwan Um School of Zen.

In Europe he also practiced in other Zen traditions and became the group leader of the Viennese Kwan Um Zen School in 1999. From 2013 to 2016, he was the abbot of the Vienna Zen Center (Poep Um Soen Won) and since 2014 he has been supporting the organization of the European Kwan Um School of Zen in various functions.

Knud Rosenmayr JDPSN received inka from Zen Master Ji Kwang at Wu Bong Sa, Poland, in March 2016. He teaches regularly on Kwan Um Zen Online and is the guiding teacher of the Vienna Zen Center. He is married and has been working in a language school after completing his philosophy studies.
